Premium Fuel Injector Cleaning And Testing

-
Our distinct advantage stems from our meticulously designed processes and procedures, custom tooling, and our proprietary POWERFLUSH injector cleaning machine.
-
Each component is specifically crafted to service injectors efficiently, reduce turnaround time, and enhance results significantly. With competitive pricing and unparalleled capabilities, we are the perfect choice for those who value precision and attention to detail in their fuel injector servicing needs.

-
Our fuel injector cleaning service includes up to six cleaning steps, including a POWERFLUSH stage when needed for stubborn injectors. This approach can greatly enhance the outcomes compared to conventional ultrasonic cleaning methods alone.
-
Our fuel Injector tests are all carried out on Carbon Zapp Port or GDI/Piezo machines, depending on the injector.

-
As part of our premium service, you will receive new fuel injector components, including filters, O-rings, seals, caps, grommets, clips, spacers, decouplers, clamps, ferrules, caps and hoses, with OEM options generally available for all injector types.
-
We include a Color Injector result report with all our injector service options shown below.

-
For the BMW Siemens Piezo Injector, we offer a no-parts option since many repair shops already have the necessary and costly components.
-
Please note that some parts for certain injectors may occasionally be on back order, and we will inform you if this occurs.

PORT INJECTOR CLEANING AND TESTING

We utilize the latest Carbon Zapp GS8 machine for all our port Injector testing.

The following applies to all Hose feed, Top feed, Side feed, E-TEC, HDPI, Optimax AIR, TBI, Cold Start, Auto, Motorcycle, Marine etc.
*Some tests may not applicable, for example, Static flow testing is non-operable on E-TEC injectors.

Prep | Fuel Injector Cleaning | Fuel Injector Testing |
---|---|---|
1 Stage Exterior Hot Water Cleaning | Strip Injectors | Leak Down Test Incremental 40-100 psi |
1 Stage Hi-Pressure Air Flush | 2 Stage Ultrasonic Cleaning | Spray Pattern Analysis |
Microscope Inspection | 1 Stage Optional POWERFLUSH Reverse Cleaning | Static Flow Test (Volume) |
Injector Numbering | 1 Stage Low Pressure Air Backflush | Dynamic Flow Test (Cruise RPM and Passing) |
Solenoid Resistance Check | Media Blast (metal injectors) | Internal Lubrication |
Spray Pattern Analysis | Capped to Avoid Damage | |
Static Flow Test (Volume) | Before/After Report as Applicable | |
Dynamic Flow Test (Cruise RPM) |
-
We conduct all Port injector flow tests at 20-90 PSI or 1.3-6.2 BAR based on injector type.

WHAT IS STATIC FUEL INJECTOR TESTING?
Evaluating fuel injector flow at a specified pressure while open allows for the measuring of a steady fuel volume passing through the injector. This process indicates flow consistency.
WHAT IS DYNAMIC INJECTOR TESTING?
A thorough process that demands extra time and effort to complete. Injectors undergo varying pressures duty cycles across different RPM ranges to ensure reliable fuel delivery.
PIEZOELECTRIC / GDI INJECTOR CLEANING AND TESTING

We utilize the latest Carbon Zapp GDR-X machine for all our GDI/Piezoelectric Injector testing.

GDI/Piezo injector flow test pressures are determined by the manufacturer and controlled by the machine. It varies based on the injector. We typically see pressures between 1000-3000 PSI or 68-210 BAR depending on injector type and manufacturer specified test plan.
Fuel Injector Cleaning | Fuel Injector Testing |
---|---|
1 Stage Low Pressure Air Backflush | |
1 Stage Low Pressure Air Backflush | Low pressure Nozzle Leak Test |
1 Stage Exterior Hot Water Cleaning | High pressure Nozzle Leak Test |
1 Stage High Pressure Air Flush | Full Suite of Manufacturer Test Plans (3-5 of them typically) |
Microscope Inspection | Piezo Stack Regeneration as Required (Piezoelectric Injectors) |

PIEZOELECTRIC INJECTOR PIEZO STACK REGENERATION
Maintaining the optimal performance of Piezoelectric injectors often requires piezo re-stacking or regeneration as part of the injector service. This process restores the Piezo stack to its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications, which is particularly useful when installing used injectors in a vehicle. Piezo stacks may expand change size, especially during low-speed operation, leading to slower response times and reduced flow rates. This can result in poor idle quality and diminished performance under high engine demands. Our equipment effectively simulates the original operating conditions by applying varying pressure, heat and voltages, ensuring the Piezo crystal stack is returned to its OEM size and functionality for optimal injector performance. This service is included only in our standard package and is not available separately.

Pre-index 11 Injectors - we will provide service, but results may be unsatisfactory due to inherent design issues. No stack regeneration will be performed on these injectors, as noted in the advisory below.
Index 11 Injectors - regenerating a Piezo Stack may lead to leaks developing sooner; therefore, we will service them and only regenerate the stack if it fails specific tests.
For Index 12 Injectors - regeneration of the Piezo stacks will always be carried out.

BMW PIEZOELECTRIC ADVISORY
BMW N54 N63 N74 S63 Piezo GDI Injector Cleaning Service

Siemens has made improvements to the N54, N63, S63 and N74 Piezoelectric fuel injectors with Index 12 to address previous issues. It's important to note that servicing earlier N54, N63, S63 and N74 Fuel Injectors will not bring them up to Index 12 specifications. The earlier pre 11 indexes were known for leaking, which led to higher flowing injectors. This design issue cannot be addressed through servicing, which is why Index 11 and subsequent 12 injector redesign was introduced.

If you have BMW N54 pre-Index 11 injectors, consider upgrading to Index 12 injectors rather than attempting to service them. Be leery of used Index 12 injectors from auction sites, the labels can be spoofed, only purchase used ones from reputable commercial sources or acquire them from a salvage yard yourself. Buyer beware.
We will not service the following:
-
Non-OEM Piezoelectric Injectors. (Offshore Knock offs)
-
Non-OEM GDI Injectors. (Offshore Knock offs, although they are getting harder to detect.)

*Injector Coding*
These injectors come with flow rate coding values usually located in the red circle below. Those offset values are input into the MSD8x Engine Management system corresponding to the engine cylinder number. It is ideal to put them back in the same cylinder. We recommend marking them with a sharpie or a tag indicating the cylinder number. We'll etch that information when we receive them making it easy for you to reinstall them in their original positions.
